My name is Fran Bennett. I am an art teacher who has taught high school and adults for over 35 years. My expertise is in the drawing and painting mediums. I have a BA in art education from Rowan University and a Masters Degree from Rowan University in Education. I received the Parthenia J. Vandermark Award for Excellence in Art at Rowan University. I have also studied at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. I have taught art for the S.T.E.M. program through Camden County College. Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with the New Jersey Council of the Arts, The Home of The Brave for Veterans, The Pennsauken Friends of the Library, The Pennsauken Animal Hospital, The Ivystone Senior Living, and the Pennsauken Historical Society. I supervised students in creating murals, calendars, coloring books, play scenery, and various community projects. I collaborated with the SEL teacher at the elementary school in a program called"Partners in Art" teaching language learner kindergartners. I have exhibited my artwork in the Markeim Arts Center, The Haddonfield Historical Society Pandemic Exhibit, The University of the Arts Educator's Show, The Eilandarts Center., The Friends of the Pennsauken Library Silent Art Auction, The Smithville Mansion, and Trenton Artworks.
Every art class that I offer is uniquely created for you with true warmth and care. I welcome every age and artistic level in the art classes. Everyone needs to express themselves. I specialize in drawing out the artist from within you. My mission is for you to relax, be your true self, feel inspired and genuinely express yourself in my caring, encouraging art sanctuary.
